A concept of green living combined with modern living can be seen completely on the design of La Planicie House II. La Planicie House II is a modern house which is designed by Oscar Gonzalez Moix. This house is located in La Molina District, Lima, Peru. As a matter of fact, the designer of this spacious house employs different character of materials to create unique and sophisticated design which cannot be found in any other residences.
Staring from the outside, this modern house is developed in a very large area. To separate between the street outside the house and the house area there is built a large and high concrete fence. However, it does not give any matter to the house because the fence totally makes the house become more private and peaceful. Concrete and caramel colored wood are employed to create beautiful modern house exterior. Meanwhile, minimalist approach combined with various assorted materials is taken to develop the luxurious home interior.
Inside the fence, there is a spacious two-level-house which features three different courtyards. The courtyards separate the house into two different main building. The front courtyard is an entry yard with typical garden landscape. Beside the yard there is a spacious garage which is covered with smooth wood panels and concrete walls. Further, between the garage and the entry garden, there is small path which connects the main modern house and the street outside the fence. Between a large living room and a modern kitchen featuring small dining room there is a middle courtyard which is used as an open air patio. At the back, there is a large backyard with tropical vegetation and large swimming pool. Upstairs, there is a family room which consists of main bedroom, children’s bedroom, and bathrooms. Almost all the rooms feature large glass panels which make this modern house look so comfortable and futuristic. Over all, when building La Planicie House II, Oscar Gonzalez Moix employs the balanced combination among tiles, steel, marble, glass, and wood materials.
